Horizon LEAP Event

The first LEAP event of the year was a success! We sent five girls in two different levels. It was Katy Ludviksen’s and Emily Arcand’s first times testing in bronze and they both did very well, scoring in the 60’s. Isabel Fuller passed her Copper level and received her pin! Adrienne Lee and Yasmine Illes  both passed one component of their copper pin and were close to passing both components.
Highlights:

Isabel got full points on puck roll
Yasmine got full points on pullover and cast-toe-on-dismount
All three copper girls got full points on back walkover
Both bronze girls got full points on back hip circle
Emily full points on front handspring, cartwheel straight jump

Shannon Miller is Coming to Pink!
Shannon Miller remains the most decorated American gymnast, male or female, in history. She is the only American to rank among the Top 10 all-time gymnasts and is the only female athlete to be inducted into the US Olympics Hall of Fame - twice! We are thrilled to have Shannon joining us for our Sunday sessions and know she will inspire all those in attendance.

 National Anthem Singers Needed
Think you've got the pipes? We love to feature the vocal talent in the gymnastics community and need singers to perform the National Anthem at the Pink Invitational sessions. If you are a coach, judge, parent, gym owner, or gymnast and would like to be considered, please contact us at pinkinvitational@yahoo.com. We would love to hear a demo, too. So if you have a video on YouTube or Facebook, just let us know.

Philly Food
The Pink Invitational is just over a month away! Whether you are visiting the city for the first time, or you go there all the time...you won't want to miss the Reading Terminal Market. The indoor farmers market covers one city block and features baked goods, sandwiches, fish, poultry, flowers and so much more! Located right next to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, this incredible experience is only a short walk away. For more information, you can visit their website by clicking on the link below. Bon appetit!
