CCGC's girls did fantastic in Mississauga at the National Stream Cup meet.
Kiana Orom and Diana Dick represented Capital City in the Pre Novice Elite category. Kiana stuck her beam with a few new skills in her routine including her standing layout step out! She also did a great bar routine which placed her 9th. Diana placed 5th on bars and floor on Day 1, which meant she got to compete in event finals for her very first time. Diana did great on Day 2, and received 4th place on both bars and beam.
Alyson Arcand and Ayrie Freedman were on Alberta's National Novice Team. Alyson finished 6th AA and was the top Alberta finisher! She made event finals on floor, vault and beam and came home with a bronze medal on beam! Ayrie Freedman finished 9th AA and stuck her beam routine for a score of 13.2! She made finals on beam and ended up in 7th. Alyson and Ayrie contributed greatly to the Alberta National Novice team's silver medal!
Brooke Wilchuck competed on the National Open Team for Alberta. Brooke had a very consistent meet. The team started on Beam and Brooke was chosen to be Alberta's first competitor. With only a few wobbles she ended up sticking her routine, which was a great way to start off the team competition. Brooke was by far the youngest on the team, and was able to contribute 2 scores towards the team's All Around!
