U of C International Cup - March 20-23rd

Capital City competed at the University of Calgary at their International Cup on March 20th to 23rd.  The competition is always great mix of strong competition and an upbeat atmosphere.  Our ladies came home with an amazing total of 46 medals!!   Here are some highlights from the weekend:

• P1 Argo (2005) - Bella placed 3rd on vault.  Jorja was 2nd on floor.
• P2 Argo (2004) - Jamie finished 2nd on vault.
• P2 Argo (2005) - Chloe C was 3rd on vault, 1st on beam, and 4th AA.
• P3 Argo - Ricki received 2nd on vault and floor, 1st on beam, and 4th AA.  Adrienne was 3rd on floor.
• P3 Novice - Kendra placed 3rd on bars and 4th AA.
• P4 Tryo - Olivia was 2nd on bars, beam, and AA.  Emily A. was 3rd on bars.
• P5 Tyro - Jordann G. earned 1st on bars, 3rd on beam, and 2nd AA.  Taelynn was 3rd on vault and 4th AA.  Erin came 3rd on floor.
• P5 Novice - Juliana placed 1st on beam, 1st on floor, and 3rd AA.
• P5 Open - Brooklyn M. came 1st on floor and 4th AA.  Katie C. was 2nd on floor.
• PN Aspire - Shae was 2nd on bars, 3rd on floor, and 4th AA.
• National Novice - Elizabeth placed 3rd on vault, 1st on floor, and 4th AA.
• National Open - Jordyn S.  came 2nd on floor and AA.  Abigail was 2nd on floor and 3rd AA.  Brielle came 1st on bars.  Sam G. got 1st on both her 2 events - floor and beam.  Brielle, Sam G., Alyson, and Chloe all made event finals :)
• HP Junior - Alyson was alone in the category and performed great getting 1st AA.
• Event Finals - Sam G. won 1st on floor and 3rd on beam.  Alyson A. placed silver on beam.  Chloe H. was 3rd on vault.  Brielle finished 2nd on bars.  Congrats ladies!

AOGC International Invitational - February 22-23rd

Capital City went to LA to compete at the prestigious All Olympia Gymnastics Legends International Invitational.  The competition was a great experience for our athletes to learn to adapt to new rules and compete internationally. After the competition the girls and coaches had a great time enjoying California's weather and amenities.

Sweetheart of a Meet 2014 - February 22-23rd

• P1 Argo-  Kianna 1st AA.  Tegan 2nd on floor. Kianna also won best artistry on floor.

• P1 Pre Argo -  Jorja 3rd on vault and also received best artistry on floor.

•  P2 Tyro - Brooklyn L. 1st AA, 3rd beam, 2nd bars and vault. Maria L. 2nd AA, 1st beam.  Shane 1st on floor. 

• P2 Argo:Samantha J. 2nd vault, 4th AA. Jamie 5th AA, 4th beam.  Isabel 2nd beam, 8 AA. 1st place P2 team award.

• P3 Argo - Ricki 2nd on vault, bars, beam, floor and AA.
